• In 101: Cam­era Basics, you’ll learn about dif­fer­ent image for­mats, the impor­tance of white bal­ance and pic­ture pro­files, and how to cor­rect the expo­sure.
• In 102: Aper­ture and Lens, you’ll dis­cov­er how the focal length affects per­spec­tive, how and when to use dif­fer­ent aper­tures, and tech­niques for manip­u­lat­ing the depth of field.
• In 103: Shut­ter Speed, you’ll learn how expo­sure dura­tion affects our per­cep­tion of move­ment, how and when to use shut­ter pri­or­i­ty mode, and how to trou­bleshoot blur­ry pho­tos.
• In 104: Man­u­al Expo­sure, you’ll real­ize the pow­er of your cam­er­a’s light mea­sur­ing modes to set man­u­al expo­sures cor­rect­ly and how to focus your lens on mov­ing and sta­t­ic sub­jects effec­tive­ly.

This intro­duc­to­ry pho­tog­ra­phy course for begin­ners will teach you the main pic­ture-tak­ing fea­tures of DSLR, mir­ror­less, and enthu­si­ast com­pact cam­eras. Our pho­tog­ra­phy cours­es for begin­ners are designed to ramp up your the­o­ret­i­cal and prac­ti­cal under­stand­ing of pho­tog­ra­phy pro­gres­sive­ly. We start with the basic fea­tures of your dig­i­tal cam­era and grad­u­al­ly ramp up towards ful­ly man­u­al expo­sure tech­niques. Our class­room-free pho­tog­ra­phy lessons pro­vide a com­pelling mix­ture of easy-to-under­stand the­o­ry and prac­ti­cal exer­cis­es that rein­force your new knowl­edge.

This page allows you to enrol in all four cours­es of our begin­ner pho­tog­ra­phy pro­gram. You’re wel­come to choose a sched­ule accord­ing to your pre­ferred pace; how­ev­er, we strong­ly rec­om­mend attend­ing class­es in their cor­rect order.

Each work­shop is option­al­ly avail­able as a pri­vate pho­tog­ra­phy course for 1–2 peo­ple.
